With the 2026 NFL Draft right around the corner, the Cleveland Browns and general manager Andrew Berry have continued to prepare for the highly anticipated event throughout the course of the offseason.
The struggling organization is in a unique position leading up to this year’s draft, as the Browns currently hold the No. 6 and No. 24 picks. But after a recent report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz claiming that this year’s draft could include multiple trades, it’s clear that Berry will capitalize on the opportunity to move down from the top-10 to receive additional draft picks in both 2026 and 2027.
The expectation among many NFL teams is that the 2026 draft will be one of the more trade-heavy drafts in recent memory, according to multiple league sources.

Here are three teams that Browns fans should keep an eye on during the NFL Draft as potential trade-down suitors.
Miami Dolphins
After trading away star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle this offseason, the Miami Dolphins are now loaded with plenty of draft capital ahead of this year’s draft.
With picks No. 11 and No. 30 at their disposal, Miami is well-equipped to make a push for some of the top players in this class, such as LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane. If the Browns were to strike a deal with the Dolphins, the deal would likely include picks No. 6 and No. 39 for No. 11, No. 30, and a mid-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. This would allow Berry to attack the offensive tackle and wide receiver positions, while also granting the opportunity for the organization to select a safety in round one.
Dallas Cowboys
Similar to the Dolphins, the Dallas Cowboys could also be in the mix to make a huge deal during the first night of the upcoming draft.
The Cowboys are in desperate need of a true CB1 when looking ahead to next season, which means the franchise could easily move up in the draft for Delane. In this case, Cleveland could send both No. 6 and No. 39 to Dallas in exchange for No. 12 and No. 20, with an additional late-round kicker in 2027. Both hypothetical trades would put the Browns in range to select Georgia offensive tackle Monroe Freeling with their first pick, while also giving Berry the flexiblity to address the wide receiver room and the safety position in late round one.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In my most recent Browns mock draft, I had Cleveland trading down to the No. 15, while also acquiring No. 46 and a 2027 third-round pick in exchange for No. 6, No. 146, and a 2027 fifth-round pick.
One of the main reasons why the Buccaneers would be willing to move up in the draft is for Texas Tech star pass rusher David Bailey, who could be a true difference-maker for Tampa Bay’s defense in 2026 and beyond. However, the deal would likely depend on whether Bailey is available when the Browns are on the clock, which could eliminate any possibility of a trade down.
