Cayden Boozer has made the decision to stay with the Duke Blue Devils next season, according to multiple reports. The NBA legacy and twin brother of projected top draft pick, Cameron Boozer, returns for his sophomore season after playing a role to end the Blue Devils’ season. His uncharacteristic turnover led to UConn’s Braylon Mullins nailing a game-winning 3-pointer in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight game.
There was a lot of speculation about whether Boozer would be on board to run it back in Durham or hit the transfer portal. One of the places he would’ve been an ideal fit was Miami with his former lead recruiter, Jai Lucas, who is the Hurricanes head coach.
However, he’s not running away even with his brother likely planning his exit after receiving National Player of the Year honors. In fact, Boozer is doing the opposite and appears to be recruiting two of the best available players in the transfer portal.
Iowa State’s Milan Momcilovic and Santa Clara’s Allen Graves started following Boozer on social media, leaving some details up to interpretation with Duke looking to pull in their first portal player from this cycle.

Momcilovic is noted as the No. 2 overall player and best currently available after Kansas’ big man Flory Bidunga announced he’ll be heading to Louisville. The 6-foot-8 forward is also one of the most experienced talents with three years under his belt.
At 6-foot-9 and 225 pounds, Graves entered the portal with a “do not contact” tag, meaning his next destination has likely been settled, which is the best news for Duke.
Maybe Boozer’s most underrated asset is helping to put next year’s team together. Blue Devils coach Jon Scheyer has the opportunity to grab two top-10 talents and leave other programs in the dust. Momcilovic would be a perfect replacement for Cameron Boozer when he decides to enter the 2026 NBA Draft.
