The Washington Huskies finished top five in interceptions in the Big Ten a year ago, and they know they’ll need strong players in the secondary to combat some of the conference’s prolific passing offenses in the years to come.

To that end, Washington landed 2027 four-star safety Jaden Walk-Green, who plays his high school football at Corona Centennial in California. Three out of Walk-Green’s top four final choices were West Coast-based schools, but the defensive back ultimately chose Washington over the likes of UCLA, Arizona State and Vanderbilt.

Walk-Green believes that the Huskies run their program in an NFL-like manner, which he appreciates.

“He (head coach Jedd Fisch) runs the program like an NFL team and that really stood out for me. I like how it’s about development there and they have a great staff that really cares about the players as more than just football players but as people too,” Walk-Green told On3.

Walk-Green posted 125 tackles and 10 interceptions during his junior campaign, and brought five of those picks back to the house.
