The Indianapolis Colts will be meeting with one of the most productive pass rushers from the 2025 college season.

According to Ryan Fowler, the Colts have a visit scheduled with Texas Tech edge defender Romello Height. In addition to the Colts, New England, Washington, Dallas, and San Francisco have visits scheduled.

Height is 6-3 and 240 pounds, and would bring a different element to the Colts’ defensive end position at that size.

Height had a breakout year in 2025, totaling 62 quarterback pressures with nine sacks. Among all defensive ends, that was the seventh-most pressures in college football last season. Not surprisingly, Height also ranked 13th in PFF’s pass rush win rate metric as well.

For more on Height, Lance Zierlein of NFL.com had this to say in his scouting report:

“An edge defender with a lean, angular frame, Height will need a heavy dose of weight-room work to compete at the pro level,” Zierlein wrote. “His rush is fast and relentless. He uses long strides to challenge at the top and can leap inside the protection. However, his lack of play strength and contact balance allow blockers to bounce him around. Height needs to improve his skill level and refine his approach if he’s going to make an impact as a designated pass rusher, but he has the talent to cause some chaos in the pocket.”

Height is the 76th ranked prospect overall on PFF’s big board and the 14th ranked edge rusher.

The Colts have added to the defensive end position in free agency, signing Arden Key and Micheal Clemons. However, both are rotational players. The Colts still need to find that more high-impact presence to pair with Laiatu Latu.

Without a first-round pick, the Colts’ first selection in this year’s draft will be on Day 2 at pick No. 47 overall.
