Alabama basketball will be without its second leading scorer, Aden Holloway, on Friday, March 27, in a March Madness game against Michigan basketball at United Center in Chicago.
Holloway was arrested on March 16 and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and failure to affix a tax stamp. Agents allegedly found 2.1 pounds of marijuana when searching Holloway’s residence.
He has since denied the allegations in a complaint filed in the Tuscaloosa Circuit Court, according to the Tuscaloosa News.
On the day of his arrest, he bonded out of the Tuscaloosa County Jail for $5,000.

The 21-year-old is currently suspended from team activities with the Crimson Tide pending an investigation by the University Office of Student Conduct.

Holloway averaged 16.8 points, 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds during the 2025-26 season, leading the Crimson Tide in 3-point shooting percentage (43.8%).
