All of Big Blue Nation is on the edge of their seats waiting for a decision from Kentucky Wildcats center Malachi Moreno. He entered the NBA draft and is going through the process to see where he might be picked, and then whether or not to return to Lexington for a sophomore year.
Analysts from every corner of the basketball world have given their opinions on Moreno’s future. Recently, voice of the Wildcats Tom Leach added his prediction to the list.
I’m still where I have always been. I always thought he would be back at Kentucky next season. I think that makes the most sense, and I continue to feel that way. So hope I’m right
Most mock drafts have Moreno as a second round pick, but he has inched closer to round one in some. If he were able to secure a guarantee of being in round one, he could be tempted to stay in the draft, but he likely hasn’t received that so far.
Moreno did not enter the transfer portal, so if he returns to the college ranks, he’ll be at Kentucky. The current consensus is that he should return to school. Leach’s agreement carries a lot of weight, though, and will probably make Kentucky fans feel a bit better.
