Week 1 of the NFL season has come with quite a few storylines. Patrick Mahomes returned, the LA Rams lost spectacularly, but there was another team that made headlines.
The Chicago Bears began their season with a statement victory against the Carolina Panthers. They scored 59 points in one of the most potent offensive performances of the decade.
So it was no surprise that Shannon Sharpe picked them as the most impressive team in Week 1, he explained his pick to Stephen A. Smith.

The Bears scored a whopping eight touchdowns during their win against the Panthers. What stood out is that six of them came from rushing plays.
Caleb Williams played his part, throwing for 269 yards and two touchdowns. But the run game was dominant, gaining almost 300 yards and accounting for six touchdowns.
“Chicago was the most impressive team,” Sharpe told Stephen A. on his show. “When you run the ball for near 300 yards and Caleb Williams is Caleb Williams. 59 points?”
It was a truly historic performance by Chicago and one that should have their fans extremely excited for the rest of the season. They will need to work on their defensive game, but for now, the Bears deserve all the plaudits.
