I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I just love it when two division rivals meet in the playoffs. The Seahawks path to the Super Bowl not only included a bye followed by two home games, but it also includes two head-to-head showdowns against fellow NFC West squads.
When these two teams met during the regular season, the home team came away with the victory in two close games, where the difference was a total of 3 points combined.
Charbs is done for the year:
The Seahawks and their fans have to be feeling pretty good right now after last weekend’s drubbing of the 49ers, while the Rams faithful have to feel lucky to even be here after they narrowly escaped Chicago with a 3-point overtime conquest.
Seattle’s win wasn’t quite the clean sweep it appeared to be, as they lost running back Zach Charbonnet to a torn ACL in the first half of the contest. This is going to put a lot of pressure on Darnold to make plays in the passing game, and of course, Kenneth Walker, who is now the only trustworthy back.
Walker has a lot to prove
Kenneth Walker III was able to step right into the full-time role that we were all hoping he would have when we drafted him on our fantasy teams, as he exploded for 116 yards and three scores against San Francisco’s depleted run defense.
The sledding is going to be a bit tougher this week against this Rams defense that was ranked 12th in the league against the run. While they aren’t the pushover that San Fran had become after losing Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, and Tatum Bethune, they aren’t exactly the 85′ Bears either.
Walker should be able to keep the sticks moving, but the loss of Charbs means that Seattle will have to rely on the likes of Velus Jones when KW3 needs a break.
