In nine days, Cal Raleigh and Randy Arozarena will be wearing the same uniform as teammates in the Seattle Mariners’ spring training camp.
Raleigh made it clear they were not teammates March 9, when he refused to shake Arozarena’s hand during a World Baseball Classic game between Mexico and the United States.

Arozarena stretched out his hand prior to his first plate appearance in the WBC Pool B game for Mexico. Raleigh, the catcher for Team USA did not, and appeared to say something from behind his catcher’s mask.
After the game, Arozarena told reporters in Spanish that Raleigh said “good to see you” — and unloaded on the American League MVP runner-up.
“The ‘good to see you’ he said to me, he can shove it up his a–,” Arozarenasaid in Spanish.
The U.S. beat Mexico 5-3. The U.S. is 3-0 in pool play, while Mexico is 2-1. The two teams could potentially meet in an elimination game if Mexico beats Team Italy on Wednesday, so stay tuned.
If the beef between Raleigh and Arozarena doesn’t get cleared up at the WBC, the two should have plenty of time to sort out their differences in the Mariners’ spring training camp before long.
