The Carolina Panthers sidelined their leading pass catcher from Wednesday’s practice.
Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan was given a rest day for this afternoon’s session. The 2025 eighth overall pick enters Week 17 with 65 receptions for 924 receiving yards, the most amongst all rookies, and seven touchdowns.
McMillan also missed last Wednesday’s practice, prior to the team’s eventual 23-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He, of course, would still end up playing in the victory—where he reeled in six grabs for 73 yards and a score.
In addition to McMillan, the Panthers sat out inside linebacker Trevin Wallace (shoulder) and defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton (hamstring)—who has missed the past two outings.
Carolina did, however, see the return of right guard Robert Hunt—who had his 21-day practice window opened this morning.
