One of the Oregon Ducks’ fan-favorite players from the 2025 season has announced he is leaving Eugene.
On Sunday afternoon, true freshman wide receiver Cooper Perry announced that he would be entering the transfer portal after his one year with the Ducks. Perry played in 12 games for the Ducks and turned into a valuable piece for this WR room that dealt with a litany of injuries throughout the season.
While Perry didn’t crack the starting lineup, he did haul in 10 catches for 25 yards. As a former 4-star recruit, Perry was rated as the No. 20 WR in the 2025 class.
For someone as talented as Perry, it’s understandable that he would want to transfer to a school where he has more of an opportunity to play. Going into the 2026 season, Oregon’s WR depth chart is expected to be loaded, with guys like Dakorien Moore, Jeremiah McClellan, Evan Stewart, Gatlin Bair, Jalen Lott, and Dillon Gresham all working for targets.

Perry undoubtedly could have been in the mix there, but he could also find a bigger role elsewhere. He will have three years of eligibility at his next stop.
