The Oklahoma Sooners made another addition in the transfer portal on Saturday, adding Eastern Kentucky offensive tackle Fred Hinton.

Hinton, a true sophomore, started six games for the Colonels in 2025. In his toughest competition, against the ACC’s Louisville Cardinals, Hinton allowed three pressures and a sack on 25 pass block snaps, according to Pro Football Focus. He was a three-star prospect out of Port St. Lucie, Fla., in the 2024 recruiting class.

He has two years of eligibility remaining after playing in five games in 2024 and 12 games in 2025. He’s a solid depth addition for an Oklahoma Sooners offensive line group that lost a number of depth pieces from Bill Bedenbaugh’s offensive line in the transfer portal.

Hinton is the fourth offensive lineman the Sooners have added in the portal this cycle, joining E’Marion Harris, Caleb Nitta, and Peyton Joseph.
