The NBA said it fined Charlotte Hornets’ LaMelo Ball $35,000 after what he allegedly did during the team’s win against the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.
The NBA fined LaMelo Ball $35K, also assessing a Flagrant 2 foul for “unnecessary and reckless contact” with Heat forward Bam Adebayo Tuesday night.
The league also fined Ball an additional $25K for using profanity during the postgame interview. #Hornets | @wsoctv

Ball tripped Miami’s Bam Adebayo, which was upgraded to a flagrant foul.

The incident occurred with 11:13 remaining in the second quarter of the Hornets’ 127-126 overtime win over the Heat on April 14 in the SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament, the NBA said.
If the foul was upgraded during the game, Ball would have been ejected.
Ball scored the game-winning basket in overtime that pushed the Hornets past the Heat.
The NBA also fined Ball $25,000 for cursing during a live postgame TV interview, the NBA said.
The Hornets will play in another play-in game Friday night to whoever loses tonight’s Magic-76ers game.
