Lindsey Vonn’s first event at the 2026 Winter Olympics was finished in just a few shocking seconds. The skiing legend with a torn ACL in one knee and titanium in the other started off in the downhill looking OK, but in the first jump, she suffered a horrifying looking crash.

Around 10 minutes later, a helicopter airlifted Vonn off the mountain in Cortina D’Ampezzo. So what’s the latest update on a potential injury she suffered?

Per the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team in a statement, she’ll be “evaluated by medical staff.” That’s all we’ve got at the moment, and we’ll update this post with more information as we get it:

Hoping she’s OK.
