Khamzat Chimaev finds himself in hot water following the recent accusations flying his way. The UFC middleweight champion is considered one of the best fighters in the world, but that doesn’t give him the right to attack a veteran of the United States Air Force, as he’s being accused of.
‘Borz’ is one of the few elite-level fighters under the UFC banner that remain undefeated, boasting a 15-0 record. The 31-year-old has rarely been tested inside the octagon since his move over from BRAVE in 2020, but his reported antics outside of the cage have put him in the headlines for the wrong reasons.
According to a USAF veteran, Khamzat Chimaev was aggressive toward him during a meeting at Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates. As stated by the claimed victim, Chimaev charged at him and kicked him in the chest while seven or eight of his friends surrounded the US native.
“I’m a husband, father, and brother to man,” The USAF veteran stated ahead of his Chimaev accusation on Instagram. “That’s said, when we travel, nobody expects to be assaulted, not only that but as a fan attempting to humbly approach a person to say hello to someone they follow.”
“At around 0100-0200, Khamzat Chimaev assaulted me earlier this month in the DXB airport while I was traveling alone back to the US. I was literally surrounded by him and like 7 or 8 others when he decided to charge through and kick me in the chest. It’s all on CCTV. No matter how early in the morning, no matter how hungover or intoxicated a ‘professional’ UFC fighter is, nobody deserves this.”
“I’m a 46 year old USAF vet. The stories and rumors about this guy’s wild antics are true. This guy tried to take me out.”
