No. 14 Tennessee (3-0) defeatedKennesaw State (1-2), 42-9, in Week 3 at Neyland Stadium.
Sixth-year head coach Josh Heupel discussed Tennessee’s win over the Owls after the game.
“Ultimately, a good win,” Heupel said. “Offensively, just have to be better in the red zone, but there were some real positives, too.
“Defensively, ultimately, kept them out of the end zone, gave them some things here on the earlier part of the game, first drive. All in all, a good night.”
Heupel also discussed his evaluation of his team after Week 3 and entering SEC play.
“I like the results,” Heupel said. “I like that we’ve gotten better every week. This football team should enjoy it briefly tonight and start getting prepared tomorrow, and then Monday we come in and the reality of who we were on the tape and how we needed to get better.”
Tennessee will host No. 1 Texas (3-0) at Neyland Stadium in Week 4.
