Enrique Riquelme has sparked fresh intrigue among Real Madrid fans after teasing a major announcement, keeping himself in the spotlight months after losing the club’s presidential election to Florentino Perez.
As per Mundo Deportivo, the businessman used the official Instagram account of his Legacy and Future campaign on Friday to announce that there was “one day to go” before the revelation.
He offered no further details about what he intends to unveil, leaving Madridistas waiting for clarification.
Riquelme’s latest move suggests that his ambitions surrounding Real Madrid have not disappeared following the election in June.
However, there is currently no confirmation that the announcement will concern another presidential bid or any formal challenge to the club’s leadership.

Alongside his business interests in South America, he regularly attends matches at the Santiago Bernabeu as a fan, keeping his connection with the club firmly in public view.
His Legacy and Future campaign has also provided a platform through which he can remain connected with the fanbase.
Although the presidential election has concluded, his continued visibility has fuelled speculation about whether he could eventually seek the presidency again.
For now, though, his latest announcement offers no indication of what comes next.
Until further details emerge, any suggestion that he is preparing a new electoral campaign remains speculation.

His presence reportedly created tension because of his previous challenge to Perez in the presidential race.
The episode brought renewed attention to the businessman’s relationship with the club’s leadership, although Riquelme subsequently played down suggestions of a disagreement.
“I didn’t hear about the story until later, from the press.
“I mean, I was there – I was invited to go – and obviously, as a Real Madrid fan, and as I’ve said on several occasions, the elections are over, and now we all need to pull together,” he had said.
For now, the countdown has indeed raised questions among Madridistas about the purpose of the announcement.
However, it must be taken into account that this could also concern his business activities, his Legacy and Future project, or his continued involvement in the Real Madrid community.
