Dak Prescott stands alone in the Dallas Cowboys‘ record books.
In Sunday’s 37-20 win over the rival Washington Commanders, the quarterback fired four touchdown passes to overtake Tony Romo as the franchise’s all-time leader in touchdown passes.
Prescott seized the record late in the fourth quarter when he found wide receiver CeeDee Lamb deep down the right sideline for a 24-yard score to seal the win. That marked the 249th touchdown throw of his 11-year career, spent entirely with the Cowboys.
Prescott tied Romo’s mark in the third quarter when he found tight end Jake Ferguson for a 12-yard score.

Prescott finished with 279 yards on 26-of-31 passing.
Prescott had already surpassed Romo as the franchise’s all-time leader in passing yards, seizing first place last November in a win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Since taking over for Romo as a rookie when the veteran quarterback suffered a compression fracture in his back during a preseason game, Prescott has long been linked to his predecessor. Now, however, his place as the franchise’s most prolific passer is secure.
