The Girona coach, Quique Álvarez, appeared at a press conference before the match against Córdoba, corresponding to the second round of LaLiga Hypermotion, and highlighted the difficulty of the opponent and the importance of delivering a good performance in the first away game of the season.
The coach stated that “Córdoba is a very difficult team, very well-organized, with a low block, that recovers the ball in the opponent’s half, very brave, and even more so at home. It will be a very tough match. When Córdoba has the ball, they know what they are doing and get a lot of players into the box. We will have to suffer.”
Álvarez also emphasized the solidity of the Andalusian team and their good performance in different phases of the matches. “The statistics are very clear; Córdoba is one of the most difficult teams in the category. For example, last season they were the team that scored the most goals in the opening minutes.”
Finally, the red-and-white coach stressed the importance of the first league match away from Montilivi. “It will be the first away game of the league, and therefore it is very important to deliver a good performance.”
