The Boston Celtics will be looking to get back in the win column after a road loss to an Eastern Conference foe this weekend as they head back to their home arena of TD Garden to cap off a long road trip. The Celtics will play host to the Portland Trail Blazers in a cross-conference tilt that will see vet guard Jrue Holiday’s first return to Boston since having been dealt to Portland in the 2025 NBA offseason.

Even with some potentially negative health news emerging, the Celtics should win this one if they respect their opponent. But Boston can’t play past this tilt as they settle in for an extended home stand if they don’t want to start the sort of streak that only aids lottery odds.

Records, standing, and streaks

At present, the Celtics have a 28-15 record coming into the tilt. That has them second in the Eastern Conference standings.
