AS Roma travel to the Stadio Friuli on Monday night to face Udinese in their next Serie A assignment, with the visitors aiming to extend a dominant recent record in this fixture.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s team have prevailed in each of the last six league meetings between the sides and could make it seven wins on the spin against Udinese with another success here.
Roma come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Panathinaikos in the midweek Europa League game. Before that, they drew with AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico, their first league draw since April.

The Argentine forward has an outstanding record against Udinese, having contributed to 21 goals in 22 Serie A appearances against them, the highest such haul by a player versus a single opponent in the competition’s modern era. Midfield energy will also be diminished by the loss of Manu Kone, who has been ruled out for roughly three weeks.
There are further issues in attack, with Artem Dovbyk still among the long-term casualties, and both Evan Ferguson and Stephan El Shaarawy are considered serious doubts for the trip to Udine.
On the brighter side, Roma are boosted by the availability of Donyell Malen and Robino Vaz, who were unable to feature in European competition but can be selected in Serie A, adding much-needed depth to the forward line.
At the back, Mario Hermoso has recovered fitness, returned to full training and has been included in the travelling squad, giving Gasperini another experienced option in central defence.
