Way-too-early WR rankings for the 2027 NFL Draft

We are quickly approaching the halfway point in the college football season, and now is a good time to start to reevaluate rankings for the 2027 NFL draft, with today’s position being wide receiver. After the Cleveland Browns took two in this past draft and how well they have played, they aren’t likely to take one early, but you never know. Here are my updated Top 5 rankings for wide receivers in the 2027 NFL draft.

5. KJ Duff, Rutgers

Duff is a big, physical wide receiver standing at 6-foot-6 and 225 lbs who is a bully who is hard to knock off his route, wins contested catches, and makes grabs with people hanging all over him. He has long arms, giving him a large catch radius, with strong and reliable hands giving his quarterback a big and reliable target, though he is limited in what he can do after the catch.

4. Cam Coleman, Texas

His movement skills and ability to change direction for his size at 6-foot-3 is unique; you don’t see guys his size able to move the way he does very often. Coleman has above-average body control and concentration, doing a great job tracking the ball. His blocking is underrated and will only get better with more time on task.

3. Nick Marsh, Indiana

Nick Marsh is the best blocking wide receiver in the class, and that’s an underrated skill that the NFL covets, allowing him to make an impact in the run game as well as the pass game. The power and shiftiness that he runs with after the catch to create extra yardage is impressive, and he is an above-average route runner. He’s proven he can be a big play threat with strong and reliable hands.

2. Charlie Becker, Indiana

Charlie Becker has insane body control and concentration; his ability to track the ball, adjust to it while it is in the air, and come down with the catch is elite. He’s a true deep threat who thrives when playing through contact and comes down with contested catches at a ridiculous rate. He’s a solid route runner who can separate well and can be a difference-maker for an offense.

1. Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State

What more can be said about Jeremiah Smith that hasn’t already been said? He is a generational talent at the position who is quarterback-proof and instantly gives you a bona fide difference-maker. His size, physicality, athleticism, concentration, and hands are all elite, and you don’t see a physical player like this come along very often.
