Joe Milton III totals three touchdowns for Cowboys at Arizona

Dallas (2-0) defeated Arizona (1-2), 34-13, in Week 2 of the NFL preseason at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Former Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton III started for the Cowboys and totaled three touchdowns. He completed 9-of-13 passing attempts for 179 yards and two touchdowns. Milton III also recorded two rushing yards and one touchdown on three attempts.

The former Vol finished the contest with a 151.4 quarterback rating and was not sacked.

Quarterback Sam Howell also appeared in the game for Dallas. He completed 7-of-10 passing attempts for 65 yards and one interception. Howell totaled seven rushing yards on one attempt.

Milton III appeared in 29 games at Tennessee from 2021-23. He completed 314-of-498 passing attempts for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and five interceptions, while rushing for 505 yards and nine touchdowns.

Milton III was selected No. 193 overall by New England in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL draft. He guided the Patriots to a, 23-16, win over Buffalo in 2024, totaling 241 passing yards one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown.

The former Vol was traded to Dallas for a fifth-round draft pick.
