What does the future have in store for the New Orleans Saints? We’re still months away from training camp, much less the 2026 regular season, but it’s a good time to take stock of the Saints and the rest of the NFL now that the offseason’s biggest moves have fallen into place. We know where the big-name free agents landed. The 2026 draft class has gone down in the books. And the salary cap accounting is in order. All that’s left now is to compete and win some games.

Have the Saints truly gotten better since the last time we saw them? It sure looks like it. They made some splashy free agent signings in left guard David Edwards, running back Travis Etienne Jr., linebacker Kaden Elliss and tight end Noah Fant, which they followed up by drafting high-impact rookies like wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, nose tackle Christen Miller, and tight end Oscar Delp. It sure looks like New Orleans will be faster, younger, and more dynamic in 2026. That’s awful encouraging after they ended the 2025 season with four wins in the last five games.

So how many wins could Tyler Shough lead them to this season? How many games does he need to win to be stamped as the team’s new franchise quarterback? Here are the odds for every team according to DraftKings.
