It wasn’t the first errant tee shot of the Masters for Spieth, who found himself battling the trees during Thursday’s first round. He was able to save par, somehow, after a shot on the 18th hole ended up in the trees, and he caught another break Friday when a fan inadvertently prevented another shot from ending up in a similar area.

Jordan Spieth signs glove for fan he hit
Spieth went over to the fan and gave him a signed glove for his troubles.
Some might see Spieth’s gesture as trying to make amends for hitting the fan with the ball, but Spieth might see it as a token of thanks for putting the ball back on the fairway. Either way, everyone involved in the situation seemed to walk away happy.
