One of Wisconsin’s reserve forwards appears to be taking his talents elsewhere.

Wisconsin forward Jack Robison is planning to enter the transfer portal, he announced March 24.

Robison, a native of Lakeville, Minnesota, spent two seasons with the Badgers and played sparingly, totaling 48 minutes in 30 games. He scored 17 points in 17 games in 2025-26, including a four-point performance in UW’s Jan. 22 win at Penn State.

Wisconsin forward Nolan Winter (31), guard Nick Boyd (2), injured guard Jack Janicki, guard Isaac Gard, guard John Blackwell (25), forward Jack Robison (11) and forward Aleksas Bieliauskas (32) are shown during the signing of Varsity after their game Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Wisconsin beat Iowa 84-71.

The 6-foot-6 forward will have two years of eligibility remaining. He was a former three-star recruit who also reported offers from Minnesota, Nebraska and Southern Florida, among other programs.

UW teammate Nolan Winter quote-tweeted the news of Robison entering the portal and said “my brother” with a pair of emojis and “go be great!! Love you bro.”

The transfer portal will officially open on April 7 and stay open through April 21. Departing players do not necessarily need to commit during that window, but they do need to enter the portal during that window (with few exceptions).

Robison is the first Badger to signal his intention to enter the portal since UW’s season ended with a loss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on March 19.

Forwards who could return for the Badgers include Winter, Austin Rapp, Aleksas Bieliauskas, Will Garlock and Riccardo Greppi. Rapp told the Journal Sentinel that he “100%” plans to stick with the Badgers. Winter wanted to “soak this all in” before announcing a decision, although he expressed a desire to be back with the Badgers.
