OKC Thunder guard Ajay Mitchell and Washington Wizards forward Justin Champagnie have each been suspended one game for their altercation on Sunday.

Mitchell and Champagnie were involved in a bench-clearing skirmish and ultimately ejected during the second quarter of OKC’s 132-111 road win over Washington.

OKC’s Cason Wallace and Jaylin Williams were also ejected for their involvement in the incident, but neither player received a suspension. Williams was instead fined $50,000, while Wallace and Washington’s Anthony Gill were each fined $35,000.

Mitchell will now have to sit out OKC’s road game against the Philadelphia 76ers at 6 p.m. CT Monday. The Thunder (56-15) is looking to preserve its 11-game winning streak.

Mitchell has been highly impactful since his return from a 20-game absence due to an abdominal strain and a left ankle sprain. The sophomore guard has averaged 15 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in six games back.
