Bayern Munich will have to manage without Nicolas Jackson for their upcoming Bundesliga matches.
The German Football Association (DFB) confirmed on Monday that the forward has been handed a two-game suspension for “violent conduct” following his red card in the 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen over the weekend.
As a result, Jackson will miss Bayern’s fixtures against Union Berlin (this Saturday) and SC Freiburg (April 4).
Jackson was shown red towards the end of the first half for a reckless challenge on Leverkusen’s Martin Terrier, who had to be substituted at halftime.
Luis Diaz also received a red card during the match and will miss one game. Bayern challenged the decision, but their appeal was rejected.
