According to Fox59/CBS4’s Mike Chappell, the Indianapolis Colts have re-signed tight end Drew Ogletree, meaning one of their best blockers at the position will be back:

Initially selected by the Colts in the 6th round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the 6,’5”, 260 pound tight end makes it to a 2nd contract in Indianapolis.

During 15 games (5 starts) this past season, Ogletree recorded 4 receptions for 27 total receiving yards and a touchdown reception. However, Ogletree’s calling card is clearly his blocking, as the team’s second tight end behind ascending Pro Bowl 2nd-year tight end Tyler Warren.

The question for the Colts right now is whether longtime veteran tight end Mo Alie-Cox will also return.

Colts 4th-year tight end Will Mallory is entering the last year of his current rookie contract.

However, the Colts were likely going to re-sign at least one of Ogletree or Alie-Cox for blocking purposes, and it appears as though they went with the 27-year-old Ogletree for now.
