Phidarian Mathis will remain with the Buffalo Bills in 2026.
Over the weekend, the re-signing of offensive lineman Alec Anderson was reported. On Tuesday, the team announced Anderson’s deal but added the news of the defensive tackle being re-signed as well.

A former second-round pick by the Washington Commanders during the 2022 NFL draft, Mathis originally signed in Buffalo last September via the practice squad.
Mathis, 27, also was rostered with the New York Jets in 2024.
In 2025 with the Bills, Mathis only appeared in six game, recording 13 tackles. He likely will return to a rotational role on the team’s defensive front once again in 2026.
Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 offseason.
