Some of the world’s best athletes will show off their leg and arm strength as they fight through snowy conditions at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Cross-country skiing has been part of the Winter Games since 1924 with women’s events starting in 1952. Norway has dominated the competition with 129 total medals and 52 gold medals.

It will be the last Olympic run for Team USA’s Jessie Diggins, who has won a gold, silver and bronze in her career. Can she add to her collection before she retires?

Cross-country skiing events at the Winter Olympics will air across NBC and USA Network. Steve Schlanger will serve as the lead play-by-play commentator with Chad Salmela, Kikkan Randall and Johnny Spillane providing analysis. Nicole Auerbach will serve as the cross-country skiing reporter.
