The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Texas A&M Aggies by a score of 100-97 on Wednesday evening.

The Tide defeated the top team in the SEC in what was a thrilling back-and-forth contest, as both teams certainly impressed offensively. Star guard Aden Holloway had a team high 20 points in the win, as Holloway has played a crucial role in the Alabama back court on a nightly basis this year.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats took a moment to speak with the media following the game, speaking about the Tide’s ability to bounce back following Sunday’s loss to Florida, in particular the Crimson Tide guards.

“I thought our guys had a good response to the loss at Florida,” Oats stated. “With all the turnovers we had against Florida, I thought our guards did a really good job of taking care of the ball. We only ended up with six turnovers. Give A&M a lot of credit, they played hard. They are a good team, and they are in first place by themselves for a reason. It’s a good team with good players, and I think they were averaging 15+ turnovers a game coming into this, so it took a lot of focus from our guards.”

Oats and the Tide currently find themselves with a 5-4 record to begin SEC play. Texas A&M has been widely regarded as one of the hottest teams in all of college basketball as of late, as the Tide will look to keep things rolling following a bounce back win against the Aggies.

Alabama will be back in action against Auburn on Saturday afternoon, as the Tide will look to improve to a 6-4 record to begin SEC play.
