Official: Eric Simpore joins Gent on loan
Ivorian defender Eric Simpore has moved from SOA to Belgian side KAA Gent in the Jupiler Pro League on loan.
Eric Simpore has left SOA in Ivory Coast for Belgium. The 19-year-old central defender has signed an 18-month loan deal, tying him to KAA Gent until the end of the 2027 season.
The agreement between the two clubs also includes an option for a permanent transfer.
This is the first European adventure for the young player, who is an Ivory Coast U20 international with Burkinabé roots.
A statement from the Jupiler Pro League club described Simpore as a physically strong defender with on-field leadership qualities. He is expected to join the club’s youth squad to further develop his skills and prove his abilities.
