The Tar Heels have returned to the Smith Center to face off against Syracuse in hopes of extending their win streak to four. UNC is coming of an impressive victory over Georgia Tech, while the Orange were able to secure a home victory over Notre Dame.

The main storyline of this game revolves around fine tuning before this weekend’s game against Duke. While this will by no means be a cakewalk for the Tar Heels, they are favored heavily to win this game. The ways they could lose at this point are pretty obvious: reverting to bad defense and failing to dominate the boards could bite them in the butt. Things also could turn dire if they aren’t able to knock down shots from deep like what happened against the Yellow Jackets, but that only becomes a bigger concern if things are going poorly in the other two departments. Simply put, don’t look too far ahead, show some improvement in some key areas, and hopefully the Heels will have a four-win streak going into this weekend’s game against the Blue Devils.
