The Pittsburgh Steelers are moving quickly in their race to find Mike Tomlin’s successor, as the team has completed the second in-person interview with a candidate some consider a favorite for the head coaching vacancy.
On Wednesday, the Steelers announced their in-person interview with former Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy was completed.

McCarthy, a former Super Bowl champion and the 2011 Greasy Neale Award winner, is one of the few offensive-minded coaches the Steelers have shown interest in during this process, along with San Francisco 49ers OC Klay Kubiak and Los Angeles Rams pass game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase.
The Steelers have now held in-person interviews with Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores and McCarthy. A third in-person interview is currently slated for Friday with the Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator.
