Two Jacksonville Jaguars position groups are ranked in the top 10 of the NFL entering the 2026 season.
ESPN’s Mike Clay recently went through and ranked each position group from 1 to 32. Coming in at No. 5 were the Jacksonville edge rushers, led by Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker.
Hines-Allen totaled the second-most quarterback pressures in football last season among edge rushers. Walker’s 2025 season was derailed due to injuries, but he’s proven to be an ascending player who can impact both the run and pass games, along with bringing some versatility to the position.
Behind these two on the depth chart is a group of young players, headlined by BJ Green and Danny Striggow. The Jaguars are banking on their upside to provide steady rotational depth.
Also in the top 10 of Clay’s rankings is the Jaguars’ cornerback unit. As a collective defense last season, Jacksonville was one of the best at generating takeaways. The Jaguars’ secondary also ranked fifth in yards per pass attempt allowed in 2025.
This summer, the cornerback unit appears to be taking a step forward in Year 2 under Anthony Campanile. Of course, having Travis Hunter heavily involved at that position helps as well. He, along with Jourdan Lewis, Montaric Brown, and Jarrian Jones, will make up the top of this depth chart.
Just on the outside of the top 10 was the Jaguars linebacker unit, coming in at No. 11.
